Oliver (Oli) Jagoutz

MIT Professor

Bio

A professor at MIT, Oli Jagoutz focuses on magmatic and tectonic processes with a focus on the lithosphere. Utilising field work, geochemistry, GIS, and models, Oli thinks about the influences of plate collision and rifting on crustal formation. The associated climate change driven by the weathering of these tectonically formed materials is of particular interest to this collaboration. When he’s not thinking about Earth’s crust, Oli can be found rock climbing or riding his electric bike a little too quickly.
